I’ve been snapping pictures for a little while now, but it’s only recently I’ve got myself a DSLR. I’ve always been on a tight budget and couldn’t ever justify the expense of high end camera gear.
I’ve always enjoyed the most of getting whatever I can out of whatever I have to hand. I read somewhere that you can give the worst photographer in the world the most expensive camera; and you’ll still end up with bad pictures. I’m not a good photographer by any stretch of the imagination … I’m just having fun.
My first camera was a Fuji S7000. This is a bridge camera with full manual controls. A really brilliant little thing.
For my travels I took a Fuji F20 compact camera. I thought it was the best thing to travel light, though I regretted not having the S7000 within 24 hours of leaving!
Now, I have a Canon 1100D and will expand my kit and lenses as time goes on.
